A Good Day.

Had a good week, had a Great Day. I got to have lunch with my good friend Michelle from work this past week. I'm glad that we can still keep in touch and stay close-she's one of my favorites from there!

After church this morning I had the chance to have lunch with my BFF Kathy and her family! It made my day. I miss her so much. But whenever we do see each other or talk to each other we just pick up where we left off last time! It was good to laugh at old pictures and have her daughter make fun of her 80's hair-do from my wedding! I didn't get any pictures but she did and maybe she will put them on her blog when she gets a chance.

Scott and Clay worked their BUTTS off tilling a garden for me. I haven't had a garden in years. Scott has refused to do it because I never pulled weeds out of it. I think since I am not working there will be a better chance for me to keep up on it now. I promised him I would not fall behind in my weed-eating!!

4-H is in the air!

We left the house around 7:30 this morning to make the annual trek to go buy hogs with the 4-H Club. Cameron is the only one taking a hog this year since Clay is taking a feeder calf. There was a caravan of 12 cars (I think). We (the club) ended up buying 22 hogs total. Cameron chose his and named her Missy......If all goes well, Missy will be in our freezer come August. I know it sounds cruel, but that's just how it goes:)

Chad

Chad (+) Glasses = A pretty cute kid.

He seems to be adjusting fairly well with wearing glasses. He looks just too darned cute!

I got up this morning and went to Grandma Carrie's for breakfast. Mom was there and it was a nice visit. Grandma is 93 now and not as good as she use to be. I need to take advantage of any time that I can spend with her. She can still make me laugh! I think Chad and I will be back for a visit on Friday after he gets his eyes checked.
BTW-eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy.....does it get any better than that?

Easter Egg Hunt

with my family we always try to have Easter on Saturday.....have a dinner and Easter Egg Hunt. This year we had a record of 134 eggs for 6 kids to look for. Clay had 2 special eggs to look for.

Mom and dad surprised me with a birthday celebration for me. It was great to spend the day with my family. I know I am so blessed.

more from Florida.....

On Wednesday we went to Busch Gardens. I think all of Florida and then some were there that day. It was way too crowded to really have a good time-almost a waste of money. The best time had by all was the day we spent at Cocoa Beach. We have decided next vacation will only be at the beach-no amusement parks, no crowds, just the BEACH!

More pics from Florida

On Tuesday we went to the Kennedy Space Center. It was a little cool, but still a nice day. We didn't get there until around 2:00, so we didn't get to see all that we could. Saw a very cool IMAX movie about the international space station (in 3-D)

FLORIDA!!

After a long drive we finally arrived and was able to spend some time around the pool! It was humid and high in the upper 80's today so it felt right nice!

Hoppy Easter!

Chad's preschool class had an Easter Egg Hunt today. It was too much fun and I loved the ears!

Busy Days!

These next few days are going to be B-U-S-Y! Two days until we leave for Florida! That means laundry, clean house, clean out fridge, drop one dog and guinnea pig off to mom, pick up rental car, do more laundry and pack. In between all that I need to go to a school party today, feed the calf (Clay has to work tonight), soccer practice tonight and what ever else may pop up! I guess it's a good thing I'm not working:)
And Happy Birthday to my very good friend Carla today! Fourty and Fabulous!!
